This is the comparison that matters most, and the one where we are most likely to lose. Provet Cloud publishes eSignature with consent forms and deposits taken at online booking. Digitail sends the priced treatment plan for signature by email, records the lines the owner declines with a reason, and takes deposits at booking. IDEXX Neo does estimates, signatures and payments. Those are real features. The question is whether they add up to one page where a pet owner approves a priced plan, chooses the optional lines, signs and pays a deposit, before the appointment, whatever software the clinic runs.

Use what you already pay for if…
Your practice software already carries the whole flow, or you are about to switch to one that does.
- You are already on Provet Cloud, Digitail or IDEXX Neo and the built-in pieces cover your cases.
- You would rather have one vendor and one bill, even if the flow takes more clicks.
- You are mid-migration anyway, and adding a second tool now would be one change too many.

The pieces exist but nobody at the clinic strings them together, or your practice software does not have them at all.

You are about to migrate to a system that does. Finish the migration first; we will still be here.
You want a single vendor for everything, and a second $99 line on the card statement is a deal-breaker.
You need this inside the medical record rather than beside it. VetApprove sits beside it, on purpose.

Should I ask my practice software vendor first?
Yes, and we mean that. Ask them one question: does your software send a single link where the client approves a priced estimate with options, signs it and pays a deposit, before the appointment? If the answer is yes, use it.
Why not build this as a practice software (PIMS) integration?
Because an integration means picking one system and asking its vendor for permission. A copy-paste works with every system today, including the ones running on a server in the back office.
How much extra work is the copy-paste?
About two minutes to build and send a plan from a template, and about thirty seconds to file the signed PDF and CSV line back into your practice software.
What if we later switch practice software?
Nothing changes for VetApprove: there is no integration to rebuild, and your signed PDFs stay exportable.
